Our practice has been serving our local community for 50 years. We have a collective experience of over 90 years!
Comprehensive Eye Examinations Our eye tests take time. We allow 45 minutes to assess your visual needs and perform primary eye health checks.
There are some eye diseases that may sneak up on you without any symptoms and early detection is the best form of treatment.
Our therapeutic optometrists may also prescribe you some medication to treat certain eye conditions. It's more than just glasses.
Our Products & Services Include but are not exclusive to:
- Eye Exam
- Eye Test
- Eye Specialist
- Prescription Glasses
- Best Contact Lenses
- Colored Contact Lenses
- Prescription Sunglasses
- Sunglasses
- Maritime NZ Testing
Children's Vision Kids are fun! And children's eye tests should be too.
With a range of child-specific testing, our practice has built a reputation for catering to children's eyes. We look beyond just clarity of vision and go deeper into the visual processes involved with reading and learning. Community services card holders are eligible for subsidies for children up to the age of 15.
Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are a great option for sport, work or just having fun. If you have keratoconus or an irregular shaped eye then a custom rigid gas permeable (RGP) lens may be the best choice. We enjoy the challenge of designing a lens that fits your unique eye shape.
Low Vision
Having low vision doesn't mean you have to stop the activities you enjoy. We have a large range of Schweizer and Eschenbach magnifying glasses. Solutions for work include CCTV, Scan & Read, and computer software.
Great Eyewear
Most of our team here wear glasses and we love them. This means we understand how important it is that your glasses should express your personality, be comfortable and give you the best vision possible.
We have an amazing range of frames including high fashion brands.
Our team are experienced and trained to help you select eyewear you will enjoy wearing!
Specialised Testing And there's more!
The optometrist may find that you require additional tests such as peripheral vision (visual field) testing or photos of your eyes. With a total of nine different colour vision tests we are able to do a full colour vision assessment and we have specific lanterns for Maritime NZ and the Armed Forces. Our Begat machine is specifically designed for Level 2 Police vision testing.

Quite frankly the best optometrist I've ever been too. I've known them since I was 5years old and even though i don't live in manurewa anymore I would quite happily make the trip from the city if I ever need to get my eyes tested. They always have time to help with anything you need and the best customer service I've ever had ;)
