3rd November 2011 This place has just been taken over and had a bit of a re-vamp, new staff, new breakfast, lunch and dinner menu apparently. I went down on a Friday evening and had teh Sirloin steak with garlic bread, herbed tomato and fries and paid less than in St Helliers and Mission Bay for better food and more of it! I had a Grolsh and a coffee, the beer was cold and the coffee excellent. Probabaly as after speaking to the owner he hads now employed a full time chef and 2 baristas. This is a place on the rise. Definatley be going back for the beach the bear and th food.
22nd February 2012 wow, I live near here and not so sure about the last review. If premade sandwiches sitting on the counter, not under any sort of refirgeration is good food, then its a shame the point doesn't stick to what it does best - drinks - It's a BAR! it only needs to do really good bar food. 5 - 6 smart small plates to share and then a couple of specials would set this place apart. Muffins & cake with coffee - it's a BAR! Iceblocks etc in the fridge IN the bar - please - it's a BAR. Keep it simple.
