22nd September 2010 Have been here twice in the last ten days and both times have been impressed by the quality of the food & coffee, along with the prompt and polite service. Outstanding!!!! A little more expensive than what I would usually pay for a brunch but the size & quality of the food more than made up for it. Keep it up !!
For great service and quality breakfast head to the Urban Cafe. Voted one of the 50 top cafes in Metro's 2010 Cafe Awards, whether you're after a hearty breakfast to get the day off to a cracking start or a quick coffee, the Urban Cafe won't dissapoint.
25th September 2011 had the chance to pop in the cafe this morning and staff were unfriendly, unaccommodating and condescending.
we actually felt they looked down on us because of the color of our skin.
food was overpriced with small portions but i wouldnt mind eating at that place if they compensated their lack of good food portions (and good food itself) with outstanding service but that wasnt the case.
i am definitely not eating here again.
if you want bad food and poor quality service, then stop by urban cafe newmarket and you'll see what i mean. they're the best at being the worst. thumbs up!
i already wrote them on their corporate email address and they have yet to defend themselves.

21st July 2010 Great food, great coffee and a vast tea (as in cups of not the meal) menu. This place has my most favourite tea, hot cinnamon spice which I cannot find anywhere else!
Good for lunch and afternoon breaks with lovely outside seating area which is well protected from the elements. Remember to say 'hello' to Jonno (the owner) if you do go there.
